Hernando Parks and Recreation is associated with the Mississippi Soccer Association and offers a recreational 8 weeks soccer league available to boys and girls, ages 4 to 15, in the spring and fall. Spring Soccer runs from February to April, with registration beginning in November. Fall Soccer runs from September to November, with registration beginning in June.  A copy of the player’s birth certificate and a form of payment must accompany the registration form.  Each player will receive a jersey, shorts, and socks as part of the registration.

Little Kickers - 3 year old soccer program

This program is designed as a introductory program to teach basic skills and understanding of soccer. The program will better prepare each child when they are old enough to participate in the soccer league.  There are no games.  Each child will receive a "Little Kickers t-shirt and a soccer ball.

As you can imagine, we receive many player requests.  It is not always possible to accommodate every wish. Sometimes certain situations are considered priorities like custody issues, previous altercations, or medical issues regarding handicaps, just to name a few.

We definitely try to accommodate where we can, but if transportation is an issue and you know this before you sign up, please strongly consider other options for a back up plan if you are not placed on a team with your preferred carpool group.

Congratulations to Hernando Youth Soccer referee and Hernando Express Girls Soccer coach Raine Frazier for being selected to play in the State All-Star Game.  Raine is the first girl ever selected from Lewisburg to play in the event and the only player from Desoto County selected this year.

Raine Frazier has been selected as Youth Female Referee of the Year for Mississippi. Congratulations!

Why should you choose to join Hernando Competitive soccer?

We are a growing club with an emphasis on developing the individual player in a team environment.  We believe that as a team of players develop together, they will be able to succeed together.  Although winning is very important to our coaches, players, and parents, there is an emphasis on the success of learning the game and growing as a player rather than always looking at the number of wins and losses.  The Hernando area has gained tremendous support over the last few years as they invest in the future of soccer in Desoto County.  A new soccer facility is under construction with a completion date in the near future, which will give our athletes a great place to practice and play this great game.
